took a short vacation down south for our 12th anniversary....had a wonderful time visiting with our friends and spending time in our favorite city...getting back into the sewing of things and trying to get some updates done on the site...got many many pics from the past 2 months to sort out and post...
first pics are of a bridal ensemble done back in sept (see 10 sept update below)...the pics are from the back, but show the sleeves pretty well...these were done in silk chiffon and fit the arm to the wrist where they open up and drape over the hand...these sleeves fall to about mid calf length...very dramatic...here's a quote from the bride :"The dress was the talk of the evening; guests said that is was,"beautiful...dramatic...like something out of a fairy-tale..."
More than one person said it was the perfect dress for me. Thank you so
much!"...
the bottom pic is Persephone in her silver leather edwardian underbust shot by Christophe Mourthe...these pics will be appearing in a french magazine in jan. I believe

I just got my copy of the new marquis magazine and there's a nice little bit about my corsets writen by amelia g...thanks again!

it was a very, very busy halloween season this year, lots of costumes and gowns, I'll slowly be getting some pics up...first of which is a button corset made this month...this was done in an antique linen that the customer supplied...I did my best to match up the design all the way around the corset...as you can see on the center front and side front panels the main image lines up perfectly and the swags continue to the panel next to it...on the left side of the front the hand of one of the men even lines up...

a few recent pics provided by amelia g & forest black...on the left is my new alexandra corset done in a black and white striped silk with a black lace overlay..the corset is trimmed in a deep red silk and the center front panel has a wide braided trim..the corset is worn with our short cotton bloomers with black lace...on the right is a victorian underbust in deep blue brocade trimmed in black satin

17 oct 02

here's a recently finished bridal ensemble...this is a corset and a line skirt made in crepe back satin (with the crepe side out) and a cotton lace overlay...the straps will fit just at the top of the arm...at the base of each straps is a cluster of 3 rosettes using the shiny side of the satin for a slight contrast
